Peter Tauraki and Moana Rakei, who departed this morning to represent the Cook Islands at the 2026 ITTF-Oceania Championships in Ballarat, Victoria.
Table Tennis Cook Islands stated that The championships run from 26–30 August and bring together some of the best table tennis players from across Oceania. It’s a big stage and a great opportunity for our two athletes to test themselves against strong regional opposition.
Peter and Moana are no strangers to regional competition. They’ve been here before, they know what to expect, and this time they’re heading to Australia with plenty of experience behind them and hoping to come away a better result.
More than anything, we hope they enjoy the experience, compete hard, back themselves and represent our little islands with pride.
